Covenant Partnership for every follower of Christ involved at IMC to consider to fully support the mission, vision, unity, and works of the church.
We believe wholeheartedly that local church partnership should be entered into by followers of Jesus as a spiritually binding, bilateral covenant between them personally and the Risen Lord Jesus, the Head of His Church.
Covenant Partnership at Indy Metro Church is a 1-year agreement between the individual and Indy Metro Church to "covenant" together to love people and the Lord in our city. This is the membership process at Indy Metro. If you're new to the language of the covenant: visit this blog.
If you are considering how you can engage deeper in our mission to love people who are far from God drawn near to God we invite you to explore Covenant Partnership.
The Covenant Partnership process:
- Listen to what we believe: Prospective members are required to listen to each of four podcasts at indymetro.org regarding our core four values: Truth. Relevance. Support. Worship. You will need to answer a few basic comprehension questions from each message.
- Affirm the doctrine: Review and affirm our Statement of Faith.
- Participate in community: All members of Indy Metro are expected to participate in some form of community, such as a CityGroup or PlayGroup. To learn how to join a group, stop by our Guest Services table on Sunday mornings or contact
- Sign the Covenant: Review the Covenant and complete a questionnaire about your relationship with Jesus, baptism, and pledge to live according to these beliefs.
- Meet with a leader: Contact to arrange a time to meet one of our pastors or leaders in order to ask follow-up questions, submit your forms, and answer any questions you might have.
After a satisfactory interview process, the leader who met with you will officially affirm your status as a Covenant Partner of Indy Metro Church and active participant in the amazing work together in the city. Welcome to the Indy Metro family!
